You can choose to make a security certificated. The company's constitution will define if this is a requirement or not.
Existing Share Certificates:
You can add existing share certificates (if applicable). If you add the existing share certificates, these share certificates will be relied upon until a replacement share certificate is generated or a transaction occurs. You can include the historic share certificates when importing your data.
If you have uploaded historic share certificates, the related shareholders will have the ability to see the share certificate numbers through the investor centre.
New Share Certificates:
If no share certificate is recorded, a PDF share certificate will be generated for each of your investors. Every time any type of security movement (issue securities, redemptions, off market transfers) occurs, a new share certificate will be generated to replace the old share certificate. The share certificate will be sent by email automatically after a transaction occurs if the shareholder has an email address recorded. If the shareholder does not have an email address recorded the share certificate can be downloaded and you can send it by post.
Your investors can also download a copy of their share certificate at any time through the investor centre.
You can customise the share certificates’ reference number format, add or remove the issuer's logo and edit terms of security while you are creating or editing the security.
