This month we released new features including an upgraded branded login page, an issuer centre contact book and capital call bulk actions. We’ve also made many improvements to the Activity log feature, as well as a host of other smaller improvements and bugfixes.
Branded login page
- An upgraded design for the Client and Issuer branded login pages has been released, in keeping with the look of the branded online application form. Issuers now have the option to include their brand colour and a full page background image on their custom login page. You can customise your login page by going to your Client or Issuer profile settings.
- Investors who have logged in to view an individual investment can now complete an online form to request an invitation for full Investor centre access to their holdings from the issuer.
Contacts
- An option has been added to the Client centre profile page to make the contact book available in the Issuer centre. When this is enabled, the Contacts menu item is displayed in the Issuer centre menu.
- For an entity type contact, you can now enter either an ABN or a TFN in the tax details section, rather than a TFN only.
- In the contact details page Verification section, the company name returned by the ASIC lookup is now displayed in the module.
- In the contact details for an individual, a blank option for Title is now provided in the dropdown options.
- Fixed a bug where the contact book Individuals and Companies tabs could not be sorted by name.
- Fixed a bug where merging contacts was causing the registration details of the holder to be flagged as changed, when they had not.
- Fixed a bug where re-verifying a company contact was not delivering the expected results.
Capital calls
- Bulk actions have been added to the Capital call details page Investors table. Issuers can now select one or more investors from the table and, via the table Actions menu, bulk process the calls and/or mark them as complete. When processing the calls, the issuer can enter the settlement date and amount per security.
- The payment instruction email to investors now uses a dollar amount for the amount called rather than percentage, regardless of calculation type used. In addition, minor copy changes were made to the payment instruction PDF.
- From the Capital call details page Investors section, Issuers are now able to delete an investor from the call.
- When managing a call for an investor, issuers are now able to delete a payment from the Payment section.
Activity logs
- In the Client and Issuer centre Activity log table, a new time period option for displaying results, ‘Last week’, has been added, and is now the default option.
- The usability of the Activity log table filters when selecting a time period has been improved.
- In the Client and Issuer centre Activity log table, users can now toggle the display of ‘User logged in’ activities.
- Client centre activity logs are now accessible to client centre read-only users.
- The Activity log menu item has also been made available while in preview mode, and certain types of activity logs that were excluded from being created while an issuer is in preview mode are now no longer excluded.
- An activity log is now created when an issuer is activated.
- Activity logs are now created for modifying a holder’s tags, and when managing the tags themselves.
- The activity log created when an offer is updated has been improved by including all the most recently added fields. The offer logo is displayed as an image and the offer hero image can be downloaded via a link.
Tax statements
- For a tax statement report, all the tax statements that were generated for the report can now be bulk downloaded as a zip file of individual files with the holder’s HIN/SRN incorporated into each individual file name.
- On tax statements generated for Attribution Managed Investment Trust (AMIT) type issuers, we now display the subheading ‘Attribution Managed Investment Trust Member Annual Statement’.
- For the field 13S ‘Share of credit for tax paid by the trustee’, the amount is now apportioned only amongst non-residents who have had Non-resident Withholding Tax applied. The total NRWT deducted is now displayed on the tax statement input form below the 13S field.
- A warning is now displayed before deleting tax statements which have been sent to investors that the statements have already been issued.
- Issuers now have the option to disable tax calculations on deemed amounts.
Payments
- Information regarding DRP securities and accrual payments has now been added to the payment summary report.
- Statements for accrual payments have been updated. They no longer show ‘Per security’ or ‘Percent’ columns, and display a ‘Gross amount’ row instead of a ‘Total amount’ row.
- Fixed a bug in the layout of the payment statement for dividend type payments, introduced with the update to the statements for accrual payments.
- Fixed a bug in the payment setup ‘Payment statements’ section where postal communications created when the user clicks ‘Create and send statement communications’ are initially set to the status of ‘Posted’ rather than ‘Letter prepared’.
ATO reports
- In the CRS report, entities which are financial institutions are now excluded from reporting, unless it’s a Passive NFE with reportable persons.
- In the CRS report CSV file, a new column has been added, ‘Payment IDs’, which refers to the ID column in the Payments list.
- In the FATCA report, Financial Institutions with no GIINs (where one is required) will be treated as a Non-Participating Financial Institution and reported.
- In the FATCA report CSV file, the total redemption amount column has been split into two columns, one for the amount and one for the transaction ID.
- Support for reporting Foreign Sourced Income payment types has been added to the AIIR report.
- In the QTFN report, TFNs for the beneficial owners of trusts will no longer be reported, as they are not required to be. The logic that determines when a TFN is re-reported has been updated as well.
Offers and Applications
- Issuers can now delete securities issued in the ‘Issue securities’ section of the application details page. This action will also delete the corresponding security transaction that was created for that security issue.
- Fixed a bug when applying as an existing holder, where if the applicant edited the existing bank details, the new bank details were not carried through to the new holding.
- Fixed a bug where entering a TFN with spaces in the application form caused a server error when submitting the application.
- Fixed bug in the application details for an existing investor where the link to the existing investor’s holding details was sometimes broken.
- Fixed a bug where in one instance a payment instruction email for an application was not generated, yet displayed as ‘Sent’ in the application details.
- Fixed some bugs in the Offer setup Payment method step where incorrect validation was sometimes preventing progress to the next step.
- Fixed a regression in the Branding step that caused the default highlight colours to be unable to be selected.
- Fixed a bug for the previous version of the Offers feature where issuers editing a submitted application could not proceed due to validations errors with attaching an accountant’s certificate.
- Fixed a bug for the previous version of the Offers feature where issuers could not edit the tax details step question ‘Is this investor a resident of any other country for tax purposes?’.
Issuer centre Holder details page
- On the Payments tab of the holder details page, the date of each payment listed now links to the relevant Payment details page. The CSV/XLSX export that can be generated from this page has two new columns, ‘Payment type’ and ‘Payment ID’, which refers to the ID column in the Payments list.
- In the User access tab, the logic has been updated to display all the holdings the holder has access to that the issuer user also has access to.
- The ‘Has postal mail been returned to sender’ radio option has been reinstated. The postal address refers to the postal address of the primary contact for the holder.
- Fixed a bug when changing the DRP preferences for a holding where the user would occasionally be required to supply a bank statement to make the change
Meetings
- Fixed a bug with the layout of the postal proxy form.
- Added the ability to use line breaks in the ‘Resolution note’ field of the meeting setup so that they are displayed in the proxy form PDF.
Holding statements
- When generating holding statements from the Reports menu, the securities are now listed on the holding statement in the same order as in the cap table. This is consistent with the order when generating holding statements from the holding details page.
Transactions
- On the Transaction confirmation screen, the Buyer and Seller fields now display the full name and designation of the holder.
Issuer centre
- The name of the logged-in user is now displayed in the top right of the screen next to the User menu icon.
Investor centre
- On the Holdings page, the display order has been refined so that accounts are ordered by account name, and within accounts holdings are ordered by issuer name, and then by issuer cap table order.
- The copy in the email sent to read-only users advising them they have been granted access to a holding has been updated.
