Creating a distribution based on custom amounts in a spreadsheet

Within the payments system, it is possible to create a distribution where the payment amounts used are based on a spreadsheet upload, instead of being calculated by the system using component rates.  This feature is designed for processing ad hoc payments that do not follow standard calculation methods.

The process for using this feature is as follows:

Setup:

Use the normal payment setup procedure after selecting the "Distribution based on spreadsheet upload method"

Data Input:
At the end of the setup section, download a data input file generated based on the selected investors and security class. 

Within this spreadsheet, add the gross distribution amounts for each component and, optionally, withholding tax amounts.

WHT amounts entered (including 0.00) will override calculated amounts). Any WHT fields left blank will use system calculated amounts if WHT is turned on for the payment


Review and Approval
Once the spreadsheet is uploaded and imported, the payment is saved users can review the calculated payment amounts, including withholding tax, in the "direct credits" tab. Custom WHT amounts will show a custom rate based on the entered amount.
 
Finalisation

After verification, payments are processed as normal, allowing users to approve and schedule the payment, upload an ABA file, or communicate with investors.
