You can issue securities to an existing holder, or you can create a new holder from existing contacts while issuing the securities.

There is also the option to upload a completed application document, which is stored with the application record for audit trail purposes.

From the menu, go to Transactions and click Issue securities.

Step 1. Transaction type and holder

  1. Select the Allotment type from the dropdown menu. Allotment types can be added by clicking Create new allotment type at the bottom of the dropdown menu.  Allotment types can be managed by navigating to Transactions and then to Transaction management.
  2. Select the Security to be issued.
  3. Select a holder. You can either:
    • Select an existing holder. You can choose from the dropdown menu, or type in the field to search by name, HIN or SRN. All investors within your accessible issuers in the client group are available for selection.
    • Create a new holder. Select the type of holder from the radio options. You will then be asked to select existing contacts from the contact book to comprise the holder. See Add a new holder for more information.
  4. Click Next.

Step 2. Transaction details

  1. Specify the Settlement date.
  2. Select how the securities will be allotted:
    • Enter quantity and price, total value will be calculated.
      • The Quantity of securities to be issued is automatically multiplied by the Price per security to determine the Total value, displayed in the green box.
      • For partly-paid securities, the Quantity of securities to be issued is automatically multiplied by both the Paid amount per security and the Unpaid amount per security, to determine the Total Paid amount per security and Unpaid amount per security. The Total value is calculated from the total paid and unpaid amounts and displayed in the green box.
    • Enter total value and price, quantity will be calculated.
      • The Total value to be issued is automatically divided by the Price per security to determine the Quantity, displayed in the green box.
      • For partly-paid securities, the combined Total paid value and Total unpaid value are automatically divided by the Price per security to determine the Quantity of securities to be issued. The Total value is calculated from the total paid and unpaid amounts and displayed in the green box.
    • Enter total value and quantity, price will be calculated.
      • The Total value is automatically divided by the Quantity of securities to be issued to determine the Price per security, displayed in the green box.
      • For partly paid securities, the combined Total paid value and Total unpaid value is divided by the Quantity to be issued to determine the Price per security. The Total value is calculated from the total paid and unpaid amounts and displayed in the green box.
  3. If securities are being issued in exchange for something other than cash, Click Show more options and Check Securities are issued for other than cash
  4. Under Attachments, you have the option of uploading a completed application document by clicking Add file, then browsing to select a file from your computer.
  5. Click the Next button to review the transaction on the Confirm transaction page.

Step 3. Confirm transaction

  1. To execute the transaction, click the Confirm transaction button. An email notification with a holding statement attached will be generated for the holder, to alert them to the fact that they have been issued new securities.
  2. If you have created a new holder during the transaction, the holder name will become a link to their holder details page.
  3. You can view the result of issuing the securities by going to the Capital Structure or by clicking on the holder's name on the confirmation transaction page which will take you to the holder's holding details page.

Additional Information:

  • You can download a copy of the holder's holding statement.
  • If  the holder does not have an email address stored in the system or have chosen not to receive statements via email, an email notification will be sent to the issuer or registrar (depending on how your profile is configured) containing an attached holding statement which can be printed and mailed to the holder to inform them that they have been issued shares.
