Our online application form has just undergone a major upgrade, incorporating many features requested by users to make this important part of our platform best in class.

The application form now features the ability to save a draft and apply as an adviser on behalf of an investor, plus a customisable branded landing page and more.

Save a draft of an application

Applicants are now able to save a draft of their application form to return to later. New investors will use a secure one-time password to log in to their draft, while investors with a Registry Direct account can use their existing log in details to access their drafts. They can also view their draft and completed applications in the Investor centre.

Issuers will receive an email when an investor saves an application, and can view contact details for applications which are in draft state. This enables issuers to follow up with any applicants who are not progressing their application.

Apply as an adviser on behalf of an investor

We’ve allowed the applicant to select whether they’re applying as an investor or an adviser. Advisers with authority to act on behalf of their investor can upload an authority-to-act document, complete the application and submit it directly to the issuer.

If an adviser does not have authority to act, they can forward a completed application form to their investor, who can then review and approve the application before submitting it to the issuer. Investors with a Registry Direct account can access any applications awaiting approval through the Investor centre.

Enhanced issuer branding and design

The application form now features a customisable landing page, allowing issuers to brand their application form and provide a more compelling entry point. Along with a logo, you may choose to display a brand colour, a banner image, highlighted offer details and an offer description. The landing page will allow any combination of optional configurable elements.

Overall, a cleaner, clearer design for the application form and improvements to the form structure facilitates issuer branding and makes filling out the form a smoother and more professional experience for applicants.

Plus more

This update also includes many other enhancements, including:

  • During the offer setup, issuers can choose to display a ‘Buy’ button in the Investor centre for existing investors in the security, making it easy for those investors to access the application form.
  • Issuers can include a custom text section in the communication which is sent out to successful investors.
  • A list of documents the applicant will require is displayed on the landing page, allowing them to prepare before starting their application.

Future releases

Current updates underway include refinements to the process of requesting documents from applicants:

  • The ability to attach multiple verification documents for Trusts.
  • If GreenID is being used for verification, issuers will still have the option to request applicants attach identification documents. This will enable the ability to seamlessly request identification documents from non-Australians.
  • The option to request an accountant's certificate from all contacts or only the primary contact.

We are also merging the options to apply as an existing investor or apply to top up a holding, which will simplify the process for investors.

Longer term plans for releases include a data room, where you can upload additional information about your offers and control who has access, as well as many more oft-requested features. We look forward to updating you as new features are released.
